Where is Jack Ma? Alibaba Co-founder not seen for months
The Alibaba co-founder and former chairman of the technology firm has not been seen since October and there is now speculation on his whereabouts.
It has been said that this disappearance could be closely related to his last major appearance. He attended a conference in Shanghai where he publicly accused Chinese regulators of being too scared to take risks. He stated “To innovate without risks is to kill innovation. There’s no innovation without risks in the world. This did not go down too well, not only with the Chinese regulators, but also with the powers that be in Beijing that have a huge influence in what stays and goes. He was later called upon to conduct regulatory interviews in relation to his businesses.
We do not know for sure if Ma attended the regulatory interviews but what we do know is that even with his disappearance, his companies are listening to Beijing and have agreed to cooperate with the antitrust investigators.
